Student Profiles - After building many international student web sites, we've seen that prospective students highly value the ability to meet current students before enrolling in a program. One way to do this is to have a profile area on your web site that showcases a few of your students and their diverse backgrounds. What's even better is if you allow prospects to send emails to these students directly so they can ask questions about their experience at your school. We found a great example of a student profile area at the University of Colorado. Check it out when you get a minute! www.colorado.edu/prospective/international/index.html

Survey Results: Student Surveys

Last month we asked readers this question: Of the applications submitted to your program, how were most of them distributed? 40% of schools said applications were downloaded from their web sites. School web sites have quickly become a very popular distribution center for information like applications. It's essential that you have a downloadable application available on EVERY page of your site. It's also important to mark each application with a code so you know where it came from (site, agent, brochure, etc).

Happy recruiting!
