    New Web Sites
As our industry continues to change, many schools are focusing on their web sites to keep information updated and available for prospective students. We've seen several new sites pop up over the past few months, all of which have done a nice job designing a more personal and user-friendly environment. One of the more recently updated sites is that of the University of Nevada, Reno. The pictures they use are welcoming and visa/application info is easy to find. Check it out when you get a minute.

October Survey Results: Monthly Inquiries
Last month we asked readers how many inquiries their program gets each month. 69% reported they get 50-100 and 23% reported over 100. My next question is always, "What are you doing with those leads?" Most schools say they always respond to initial inquiries, but very few ever proactively follow up. What if all 100 inquiries were fed into a database? At the end of a year, you'd have 1200 names. If a follow-up email campaign converted just 1% of those, you'd have 12 extra students. Staying in contact with prospects is necessary in today's recruiting environment if you wish to remain competitive. If you don't have a database and follow up email system, you should definitely look into it.

Happy recruiting!
