Profit
Per Student:
Last month we asked readers how much profit one additional student would bring and many said they "didn't know." This is a very important figure to understand to operate your program. One common mistake is to divide the profit of your program by the number of students. This will give you a low figure because it incorrectly includes fixed costs.
The best way to figure your profit per student is to imagine your program at a break-even point. After that, every additional student has a small amount of variable cost, such as administrative work. You should get a number that's 85%-95% of tuition.
