Inside Sales Manager
We're looking for an entrepreneurial inside/outside sales person for a full-time role to help grow our business and build upon existing clients. We treat our product line like a new startup so the strongest candidates should want to build a business, not just sell a product.
This position will begin almost exclusively inside our Portland office (inside the new Portland WeWork) but our desire is to find someone who can quickly transition to inside/outside sales and visit with potential university clients around the country.
Your main priority will be promoting PeerPoint, our student ambassador software, to admissions offices at U.S. universities. Having experience selling to higher education, working in higher education, or being a student ambassador would be helpful. Our sales process is consultative and relationship-based so people who can think strategically and enjoy building networks in an industry are stronger candidates.

- new prospect identification
- establishing meetings/demos both online and in person
- new customer acquisition
- outbound calls/emails
- recording sales activities in our sales system
- regular sales strategy meetings
- regular product development meetings
- some marketing duties such as emails, market research, occasional trade show
- travel 6-8 times/year
-- 1+ years of sales, preferably of software or to higher education markets
-- experience working within higher education a plus
-- experience working as a student ambassador while in college a plus
Compensation will be a base salary and commission that total approximately $65k, but can be adjusted based on experience.
