Versation student management software has been used at 70+ universities to increase student enrollment, manage alumni, and recruit international students.
Founded in 2000, Versation provides a powerful suite of student management software for universities. Since our first client, we've helped over 70 universities increase enrollment, manage alumni, and recruit international students. Originally founded as English, baby!, which remains one of the world's most popular sites to learn English with 2M members, the company quickly saw the demand for student and alumni management software. And now, after years of data analyzing the power of student ambassadors, Versation has launched PeerPoint to lead the way in peer recruitment and student ambassador management software.
After graduating from the University of Oregon, John moved to Tokyo where he taught English. He then worked as an International Contract Manager for Hitachi, Ltd. before returning to the U.S. to co-found Versation and quickly lead it to profitability. John serves on several boards, helping others build successful businesses, and is active in the vibrant Portland start-up community.
After years in management, Sarah Holdeman joined Versation as Sales Manager in 2015. Sarah is a graduate of the University of Colorado-Boulder, and is currently pursuing a Masters of Business Administration from Portland State University. Originally from the Midwest, Sarah has turned her passion for customer strategy towards the higher ed market and helping schools increase enrollment rates.
